Indoor Mini Golf in Pittsburgh: Puttery and Puttshack

In addition to family-owned mini golf courses, several mini golf chains have opened in Pittsburgh, such as Puttery and Puttshack. While these are fun options, we prefer to support local businesses by mini golfing at other locations. Puttery and Puttshack are both indoor mini golf courses in Pittsburgh and are exciting as a concept, but they are more expensive and offer less mini golf compared to the mini golf courses discussed earlier in this post. Both Puttery and Puttshack are national mini golf course chains. We would personally rather support a local business instead. However, we do understand that it’s not often you can mini golf in the wintertime, so these locations are good options for rainy or snowy day activities in Pittsburgh.

At Puttery, you can mini golf three 9-hole courses or all of them! The courses are beautifully themed as the Libary, Garage, or Lodge with intricate decorations. Due to complaints about the price, Puttery Pittsburgh recently updated their pricing so that you can play the 3 courses for $25. We feel that the $25 price for a three 9-hole courses is still too high despite having the option to enjoy drinks and order food in the 21+ only space. Reservations are also required, and the location can get quite busy on the weekends.

Puttshack is another indoor mini golf course in Pittsburgh, but instead of featuring theme courses, the course glows and features music and theme nights. Puttshack allows kids before 8 PM, and is priced at $14 per person for a 9-hole game.
